Amanda C. Sun – A proud San Francisco native with a passion for design and creativity. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Design: Visual Communications, with a minor in Psychology, from UC Davis. When I’m not designing, I’m balancing life as a mother to my daughter and wife to my husband. Between family time and exploring new foods (and indulging in plenty of ice cream), I’m deeply committed to growing as a designer. My mission is to push creative boundaries while embracing the challenge of motherhood – striving every day to be the best designer I can be.

Storytime

My journey into design started in fourth grade, when my teacher submitted my artwork to museums—igniting a spark that would shape my entire career. Inspired and encouraged, I pursued my love for design through photography, animation, Adobe Creative Suite, and hands-on art classes, all of which laid the foundation for my career.

My first professional design role was at UC Davis, where I worked as a graphic designer for the Theatre and Dance publicity department, crafting digital and print assets for their productions. From there, I joined Salesforce, where I’ve had the privilege of growing my career over the past decade. Starting as a Visual Designer, progressing to Senior Designer, and now as a Senior Art Director. I’ve led creative work for Trailhead, managing the badge design system and event conference brandingdigital and print assets for major events like Dreamforce, Connections, TrailheaDX, and more.

At Salesforce, I also guided the design of character illustrations and branded assets for Trailhead while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency. My work spans everything from large-scale campaigns to social media assets and promotional materials. Additionally, I’ve managed vendor relationships and trademark approvals to uphold high-quality and consistent branding.

In parallel, I’ve had the opportunity to work on freelance projects, including logo design, PowerPoint presentations, packaging, and marketing materials for clients like Torch, Union City Pediatric and Adolescent Dentistry, Live Sushi, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Apttus.

These diverse experiences have shaped me as both a designer and a creative leader. I’m passionate about design and storytelling, thrive in fast-paced environments, and am always eager to bring fresh, innovative ideas to any project or company.
